We absolutely love Olu Deniz, I was never one to go to the same place more than once until we visited Olu Deniz since then we have been back 3 times! the people are great, they can't do enough for you and the beaches are always really clean. There is a good selection of nightlife but nothing too over the top mainly restaurants and bars but if you want something more lively there is the option of taking the dolmus bus up the hill to hisaronu (which takes about 5 mins) which is much bigger & livelier than Olu Deniz. We have always stayed in the Flamingo Hotel, most of the rooms are lovely, some are a little more basic but still nice, the staff are all brilliant, food is good & the pool generally doesn't get too overcrowded. If you're a bit of an explorer then there are plenty of boat trips that leave from the beach every day & you can also book various trips like a jeep safari which we have now done twice, its really good fun & a good way of seeing a lot of the surrounding area.
Useful Tips:
keep an eye out for the paragliders when you are walking along the beachfront, lots of people do this every year. Also take a walk round to the lagoon & take out a pedalo - you can sometimes spot turtles swimming around in the lagoon so take your cameras

Comments:
Olu Deniz is set in a Turkish National Park, on the South Coast of Turkey. Once a small village home to a few houses and Olive groves. Now the Valley is full of small and medium sized Hotels and the odd camp sites which are located on the shores of the Lagoon. Not over crowded due to the limited hotel accomodation but it does have a variety of excursions and entertainment close to hand. Cheap boat tours at £4 to £5 for a days sailing including food. Every hotel has a Restaurant, many are of very good quality and at relativly cheap prices. Para gliding a speciality of the area due to the spectaculer mountains surrounding the freshwater blue lagoon. Theirs a nice 7k walk to the ghost village at Kaya passing through the mountain pine forests, a further 6km takes you to Hisaronu Which is home to livley bars restaurants and the odd showplace. A Dolmus back to Olu Deniz is a must. Beer at £1.40 a pint "don't get halves" A good meal for two from £8 from a t/away to £35 at a 4*
Useful Tips:
Negotiate prices at Travel Shops. Only buy Pints, halves are nearly as much. Get out and about. You pay a small fee to get onto the lagoon spit, but the Camp sites on the land side have free access, but you do still have to pay for the loungers and a parasol, you can then walk to the spit via the lagoon. Entertainment is often provided for free along with a cafe bar, shower facility, free waiter service at lounger, and a small shop. Barbies given later in the evening. The smaller boats are more expensive but better for service.

Our destination was absolutely fantastic! The On The Beach description of both our Hotel and the resort itself were spot on. We took to the skies and tried the paragliding which was wonderful and gave us some beautiful pictures to remember our time in Turkey. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Olu Deniz with On The Beach.com.
Useful Tips:
The Paragliding is a must. Sugar Beach is a definate place to relax by the Blue Lagoon with a cocktail in hand. Sitting on the Bean Bags watching the sun set is another wonderful experience.

A great part of Turkey to visit. Fantastic sunshine, lovely beaches and friendly local people. Olu Deniz was a mixture of old traditional Turkish life and had the sophistication of a modern resort. It enabled our whole family to enjoy their holiday - elderly grandparents, teenage and younger children were happy with local places to explore and resort activities.
Useful Tips:
Travel to local destinations by local dolmus. The locals love to help you and it's a very cheap way to see the sights. A must is the jeep safari trip, organised either in your accomodation or locally. It's the best trip we've ever been on! We laughed all day long, got soaked by locals with hosepipes and pans full of water when passing through their villages. We saw beautiful scenery, had a delicious meal and ended the day with a rejuvenating mud bath! Great value for money. Also worth a visit for the adrenalin junkie was jumping off a cliff in a parachute. A hair raising experience which may leave you wanting to do it again, or not, if the case may be!! Local restaurants serve appetising local dishes which are cheap compared to eating out at home. Local markets are also worth a visit selling local goods and the odd Rolex for £10!!

Fantastic have been 3 times now and looking forward to going again, friendly and safe and so much to do a great value for money.
Useful Tips:
Some hotels are up steep hills and if a little unsteady then do not attempt, but taxis are very quick and very reasonable. Food and drink are very good and much cheaper than europe.

Comments:
the Blue Lagoon ıs just wonderful and the Hotel Alıze ıs well adapted for families and couples alike. Just a shame we have spent the last 2 days of our holiday trying to confirm the transfer back to the Airport.... and spending a vast amount on the mobile ringing them 3 times after a promise of a fax on the first 20mın call.... not what İ would call a good end to an otherwise fantastıc holiday..İ wonder if all customers realise they have to do the same thing ıf booking the transfers with Yesil Dalyan travel through OTB.Dıdnt see a rep from Med Hotels over the whole 2 weeks either-but Craıg from Thomas Cook was a great help...
Useful Tips:
The trips are great but shop around-some trips are chocka if booked on the main road rather than with reps.Alize Hotel has a water slide and an on site photographer who is just brilliant.Entertaınment at night ın the amphitheatre is basic but entertaining. The staff are very helpful and polite.
