Weather
Marmaris holidays are permanently hot, even winter days rarely go below 10° Celsius, and the height of summer sees the thermometer shoot above 30° Celsius. The water temperature is conducive to swimming in the light blue sea, and from May to October especially you are guaranteed no rain - so pack your Factor 30! One thing is for sure; if it is sun, sea and sand you want then Marmaris holidays are ideal for you and your family.
Attractions
You can't come on holidays to Marmaris and not experience the yachting on offer - this is the cruise capital of Turkey, so be sure to get on board a yacht or ferry for some music and mirth on the Med. Talking of cruises, you're only one hour from Rhodes here too, to experience a slice of Greek culture.
That said, there's enough culture here to keep even the most fastidious tourist happy: day trips to Ephesus, an ancient Roman city, jeep safaris into the surrounding woodland and trips to the archaic white castle, home to Marmaris Museum with it's seven galleries and Ottoman artefacts.
Nightlife
Unsurprisingly given Marmaris' boating life, night cruises here are a popular disport, where you can wine and dine while taking in the glorious Mediterranean sunset. For landlubbers, there's a surfeit of pubs, bars and beachfront shacks on offer, giving you the chance to see some belly dancing or Turkish folk, or listen to some DJ mixes in the clubs. Being one of the most popular beaches in Turkey, you'll not have to go far to enjoy yourself, and there's lots of places that are open till sun-up! Landscape
