- It was very quiet and becasue it was the end of the season many places were closing down
- Useful Tips:
- the boat trips are good value but don't buy any refreshments on the boat they are extortionate. Bodrun airport is very expensive 2.50 fpr a small bottle of water.

- a great place nice sunny weather u can just jump on the local buses it is so easy 2 get around found allthe local people so help full cant wait 2 go back again

- Bodrum (and Gumbet itself) are well worth the visit. Lovely people who are always only to willing to help and oblige (NOT for tips etc. either) We enjoyed walking around (and doing some bargain shopping) both centres
- Useful Tips:
- Look out for bargains galore and do not be afraid to barter. Ther are BARGAINS by the jillion to be had

- fantastic had a brilliant time loads of historical sights jewellry, carpets, markets,moderate night life. very friendly people, weather very hot, boat trips, jeep safari, sauna, turkish bath loads of things to do, would definately go back to turkey again

- This is my 8th year and 5th resort in Turkey and it just keeps getting better! It is one of the larger resorts and in my opinion friendlier. Perfect weather(30-40degrees)but not as hot as Alanya (40+degrees). I thought it was cheaper than Bodrum to dine out in the evening with something for everyone and if it wasn't on the menu they would either make it or go and get it! As it was so large you could always find a quiet area or a more lively area for the evening. I shall definatly be returning! Local beaches are OK but small and safe for children.
- Useful Tips:
- Book boat trips from the harbour and not the costly reps and look out for trips to the national park "Mille Park". A very beautiful, peaceful day out with stunning scenery and beaches. Deffinatly worth the hours bus ride!

- Visited in July. The weather was great but the main beach too packed, it was so busy we couldn't find a place!A lot of Turkish people holiday here. We stayed just out of the resort centre and travelled in by dolmus. These are cheap and regular. If your accommodation has a decent pool I would stay by it rather than go to the beach in the busy months.

- We stayed in Gumbet, however we used the local dolmus service to go to Bodrum all the time and Bodrum is lovely, the yachts are a sight to see, how the other half live. The restaurants by the waters edge on the beach were very relaxing. Bodrum is very cosmopolitan, there are lots of shops, restaurants, bars etc. The dolmus was a great experience, the drivers are expert, they can drive the bus, use their mobile phone and take the fare from you!!! Holiday was great, weather was fantastic, I cooled down regularly with the excellent sour cherry ice cream!! It was our first visit to Turkey and won't be our last.

- The waterpark in Bodrum is great, really good fun.

- This place was lovely - September is a good time to visit - it is beautifully hot but not too hot, the beaches surrounding Turgutreis are beautiful, the water is warm and the town is lovely. They have a lovely harbour which is being developed as a great complex to eat and visit and their are plenty of boats offering trips to neighbouring islands along the harbour - just go up and ask. The beach is lovely, great cos the beds & umbrellas are free. The local food is amazing and every dish was different but definitely worth a try. If you get a chance try the seaa bass, the chicken casserole and lamb casserole cooked in caly pots and the 'Ottoman Special' which is cooked on a giant flat bed Wok and is kept cooking and sizzling with a naked flame underneath while you eat. Absolutley maazing place, very child friendly and lots of other places to visit while you are there - can get to nearby towns by bus during the day as they run very frequently and a re cheap and the exchange rate is a bonus
- Useful Tips:
- Saturday market/bazaar behind the mosque is a must - you must haggle as low as you can - they are happy to accept reasonably prices (approx 20 lira)for handbags, gifts, clothes and spices etc so give it a good go. This place is great for a cultural, relaxing and family type holiday where you are made to feel welcome by every one.

- I have been travelling with on the beach holidays now for almost five years. I went on holiday to Kusadasi in Turkey. We stay in my fathers apartment there so all we need is flights and we would not dream of using any other travel agency. The flights were very reasonably priced and the service is always so efficient. I would recommend anyone thinking of going on holiday to turkey to go to kusadasi as there are lots of places to see and the beaches are fantastic. There are also aquaparks and fun parks for kids of all ages!!!! But be careful as it is very hot weather so dont forget to pack high factor suncreams too!! I even met my husband there and we live very happily now in Northern Ireland. So if your looking for efficient service and a bargin holiday look no further than On The Beach Holidays I would highly recommend you travel with them, You simply couldn't ask for better service.
