Comments:
Aydem Hotel is right at the end, Its very relaxing environment, very clean, this hotel is for Turkish people. There were British tourists, very friendly, staff are very helpful. When you come out of the hotel all you see is deep blue sea, you can see the sunset every evening with a drink in your hand. Breakfast is Turkish, lunch and evening meal very healthy, water melon, plenty of salad. If you are a woman going on your own, you would feel very safe. There is market on Saturdays in Turgutries, Sell everything, loads of gucci, prada, etc remember all fakes, but you have to haggle with prices. Must do is the boat trip, and hamam, remember to check prices. Out of the hotel if you turn left about 20min walk with beautiful views of other hotels, restaurants and blue blue sea, its breathtaking you end up in the city, where there are restaurants, bars, clubs and shops. You decide where you want spend your evenings. Remember always check your bill before paying, and always ask how much.
Useful Tips:
Before you order anything ask how much it is first, if they see you as a tourist, they can over charge, always check your bill. When you go for excursions sometimes its better to ask reception. Shopping, always make them go lower, remember to convert the turkish lira to pounds, sometimes its cheaper back home. When you get to the city you will be bombarded with young guys trying to get you to go to their restaurants, they are very charming, but they only want your custom. They have every taste of music old and new. There are many british people there, you will not feel alone.

Comments:
The hotel itself was O.K.Just walk past pool onto beach. Some new sunbeds would be an improvement. As it was end of season most staff had disappeared during second week.Ridvan the barman was great. The manager was not very friendly and the rest of his team followed his example, pretending they could not speak English unless it suited them.Breakfast was a bit monotonous but plentiful as long as you like boiled eggs tomato cucumber and olives. It's a twenty minute walk into town, pleasant going in but beware of stray dogs around the Cemre hotel on the way back. You are able to swim from the Aydems beach and it is sheltered. The snackbar is just above it if you get thirsty or peckish. The Sunsets are superb.
Useful Tips:
From town you can get a Dolmus to anywhere on the Bodrum peninsula for very little outlay. There are some lovely places to visit,Bodrum Castle and Gumusluk were two we tried. If you want to book trips in town such as Turkish Bath , check around because there are many different prices for the same trip. For the drinkers Paddy's Bar had the best beer in town and the staff are great. For cheap meals or snacks eat where the locals eat.I would recommend the local cafe/restaurant opposite PJ.s Bar.Apart from those there are too many others to mention individually.Men,Beware the Market! It's Big,it's noisy and it does your head in! The price of beer is the same in all the Bars in bar street! All in all a very pleasant holiday.
