- FOUND IT A LITTLE BIT MORE EXPENSIVE NEAR MARINA TO EAT.OTHER THAN THAT CHEAP AND CHEERFUL.LOCALS GOT EXCITED WHEN THEY REALISED WE WERE ENGLISH.LOTS OF SCANDINAVIANS,RUSSIANS,GERMANS.

- Whilst everybody would like to enjoy the finer things in life, not everybody can afford them; that is unless they holiday in Antaly in Turkey. Magnificent hotels, breathtaking beaches, sumptuous food plus attractions and antiquities from a bygone age and a friendly welcome are just some of the delights and experiences you can look forward to when you visit this amazingly diverse country. Only a short flight from the UK, Antalya offers the luxury and shopping excursions more typically associated with Dubai, the friendliness and convenience of USA where everybody speaks English and dining experiences and a cuisine that the world over would like to claim as their own. Whether you prefer to relax and be pampered in one of the many all-inclusive 5 star resorts, haggle in a local bazaar or shop till you drop for the latest desinger fashions in the ultra modern shopping malls, you will feel like a millionaire because in Turkey, your money goes further then just about anywhere else.
- Useful Tips:
- Take elasticated trousers. On my last three trips to Turkey, I managed to gain 6lbs because the food was soooo irresitably good. For very little money, local taxi drivers are happy to act as your personal chauffer for the day and will take you to and from as many different locations as you like.

- This was my 2nd visit to Side, and loved it so much I am booked to go back again next year. There is so much to see in and around Side, with a fantastic stretch of beach with various styles of accommodation available. Some all inclusive some self catering. Even a couple of nightclubs. Shops are great, people are so friendly and helpful, guaranteed sunshine and excellent value for money
- Useful Tips:
- Visit the Ampetheatres in Side & Aspendos. Market on Saturday for great bargains. Always barter, never pay the asking price, and use Turkish Lira instead of Euros for a better deal. Manavgat is easy to get to on the Dolmus and has a lovely river with restaurants along leading up to the waterfalls

- never been to turkey before and we had a fantastic all inclusive holiday at an amazing price. The location of the hotel was ideal for a peaceful relaxing time there was a shuttle bus which took us to the beaach daily, the food great everything for a good diet. We did loads of watersports on the beach and even went white water rafting in the mountains which had glorious scenery and a day at the local waterpark which was full of fun and adventure. The staff in the hotel were very pleasant and helpful however i felt guilty as i do notspeak turkish but they did speak english

- the turtles since i have returned i have been told the beaches had turtles on them but we never saw one only the statues of them at the entrance to the beach

- As described on the side this is a fantastic holiday destination with plenty to do in the city or take any day excursion and explore the mountains near by however as it good ass it sounds the shopkeepers are just too friendly never leaving you alone either you in the city or beach. They hug you, they grab you they touch and what is most annoying if you are with a woman they are all over her like some nasty rush. I might sound like some annoying old bloke but trust me at the beginning its great however few days in to your holiday you will know what I am talking about. On the other hand if you are into all this then you will love every single minute. It is great fun as soon as you forget all those annoyances and don't let things get on to you. Have a nice break!!!
- Useful Tips:
- Fake goods are just on every single corner if you don't know what you are looking for then is better to avoid them. There are highly cost valuables so if you are ready to spend make sure you have done your homework and exactly know what you want to get. DONT BE SCARED TO BARTER as this is very normal in Turkey

- We had a week long stay at Melissa Gardens in Antalya in July of this year. The weather was fantastic, very warm and fabulous blue skies. The resort was quiet and self contained, perfect for the all inclusive break we had planned. The hotel owned a section of a shared beach, a shuttle bus was laid on every hour to take guests to and from. The beach was beautiful and came complete with itd own bar and facilities. Local towns and Antalya city were short drives away. The nearest shops and bars were a 5 minute taxi ride and come highly rated. We enjoyed trips up into the mountains and to a local waterfall park, both are to be recommended. A fabulous holiday from start to finish and I look forward to another with on the beach in the near future!!!
- Useful Tips:
- Make sure you bargain with taxi drivers on fares before taking the journey. Be aware that taxi drivers will drop you off at their friend's shops in the local towns and arrange to pick you up from there. The shop keepers will then usher you into their shop and of course, expect the same when you're arranging your return trip.

- Lovely resort with amazing roman ruins, great restaurants, plenty of shops and a fantastic beach. The resort however is aimed more at german and russian tourists than the british and they all prefer the euro as a common form of currency rather than the turkish lira!!! I'm going back there next Thursday so it can't be that bad.

- daft tourists that pay £20 - £50 for a box of Turkish delight?!!! - Muppets! If you paid that then you deserve to be ripped off!

- Antalya is a great destination for a holiday, the beach was lovely and clean, the atmosphere was very relaxed, and the local people are very friendly. We went on a girls holiday for a week and had the best time ever. Local clubs are on the harbour and open from 9pm-4am every day. Food is very cheap and good although locals struggled to understand the concept of a vegetarian.
- Useful Tips:
- Got a bit annoying when people would call us off the streets to sit in their restaurants or bars. Shop owners can get offended if after you've looked around in their shop you deicde not to buy anything
