- When we arrived there were spanish kids running riot! There was no cot in the room, despite requesting it for my 18 month old son. The children's play area is an accident waiting to happen. The only thing my son could play on is a slide & that had a hole in it! There was no mini-disco, because apparently there wasn't enough kids. There also wasn't any entertainment for the first half of the week. There were plenty of kids, mainly under 5's but they would have loved a disco or something for them to do. Nothing much for them to do in the day time either. The food was ok, but chips, chips, chips for every meal got rather boring. Some of the staff were friendly & helpful, others just couldn't be bothered. They don't have baby changing. The room was a good size with two double beds & wardrobe. The bathroom had both a bath & shower, which was nice and hot. The hotel is well located, being in central salou. There is a bus stop just up the road to go to Barcelona.
- Useful Tips:
- It's ok for adults, but wouldn't recommend it for families. It would make a good base, but nothing more.

- i thought this hotel was lovely, its a three star so dont expect a 5, however food is nice with plenty of choice most nights and pool area clean with three pools to choose from. i have stayed here twice and would definatley stay again the only problem i found was the air con wasnt very good, it does work just doesnt cool the room down as much as i would like! this hotel is good value for money and is clean which i think is the main thing!

- the resort itself is very expensive, but there is nice beaches and a gorgeous ice cream parlour right next to the beach called fargi's you HAVE to go there it is absolutely beautifull! the train ride which stops at little train stops on the main road is a must too gives u a little tour of salou an also stops off at portaventura!

- when we arrived we were allocated a room on the first floor, first impressions on room appearance where it was unsafe for small children, on close inspection i noticed the electricity socket was hanging from the wall the glass lamp shade was broken with a sharp pointy piece of glass protruding upwards and the air conditioning unit did not work. I immediately complained and was told i would be given another room the next day,the staff tried unsuccessfully to remove the broken glass lamp shade, so child had to be moved into our bed.the room was extremely hot and teenagers were playing football & shouting constantly in the corridor until i returned to reception and extremely verbally demanded another room.i was given another room.had a quiet holiday then on. entertainment was in spanish food and drinks very good.go all inclusive or take out a mortgage for salou 9.50 eurofor a chicken 4.50 euro coke 10 euro for a burger king meal. portaventura expensive,2 hours wait for each ride but good
- Useful Tips:
- not really catering for the english in entertainment, the closest to english music or entertainment was freddie mercury singing barcelona on the big screen. No good for childrens entertainment 2 staff one girl and one boy the girl has them running through the hotel like aeroplanes constantly and the boy blows a whistle in tune with the music though, a face painting day 2 crosses on the cheeks of the children,same songs playing everyday which allows you to learn the spanish lyrics within a couple of days. more suited to the spanish, which is a no good when you are all inclusive. do not accept a first floor apartment with the teenagers. if british choose another hotel with english speaking entertainment if you want nice food and plenty of drink this is your place.

- Hotel was clean, reception staff were helpful and friendly. A good family hotel 3 pools to choose from although we were over run with spanish school children who ran riot through the night we enjoyed our stay in Salou the beaches are fantastic!!

- Look out for Metro pizzeria its near the Red lion fantastic food and good value!
