Accommodation

The Playacartaya consists of 290 rooms in total. All of the rooms have a bathroom with bath, shower cabinet and hairdryer, satellite TV with more than 15 channels, telephone, mini-bar, air conditioning / heating and ceiling fan, safety deposit box at an extra charge. The majority of rooms hold a sea view from the balcony or terrace. Plesae note, there is a possibility to reserve communicating double rooms which are ideal for families.

Food & Beverage

The Playacartaya offers 2 restaurants: Río Piedra y Las Marismas, buffet with show-cooking and buffet for children in Las Marismas. However, only one of these are open during peak season. Please note, during the dinner it is compulsory for men to wear long trousers. Within Playacartaya, there is also the Teatro bar, Pub Al-Andalus, The beach club which is open during peak season and a bar in the reception area.

All Inclusive Food & Drinks

The AI programme consists of breakfast (08:00-10:30), lunch (13:30-16:00) and dinner (19:00-22:30), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant (non-smoking are available). During meals water, beer, table wine, soft drinks, etc are offered. Snacks such as tapas, Russian salad, sauce meat, cheese, etc are available at the bar between 11:00 & 13:00. All alcoholic & soft drinks are served from 08:00-24:00 at the hotel bar.

Sport & Leisure

Various sporting and leisure activities include an outdoor themed pool with water slides, a whirlpool and an area for sunbathing. There is an indoor pool, which is not available during 16 June to 15 September. A daily and nightly entertainment programme, large games area offering bowls, gigantic chess, shuffle board, mini-golf, archery, rifle shooting, gymnasium, mini casino, reading room and bicycle rental. There is also a naturist sunbathing terrace available.

Useful Information on Distances

Playacartaya is located approx 107km from FAO airport, 122km from SVQ, 201km from XRY and 331km from AGP airport. The distance from the nearest beach is just 20-25 minutes, while the nearest resort city/town 20 km. Please note that all distances are approximate. Regarding the distance to the nearest beach, please note that it is not easy to establish, as it is in a unique area. To access the beach, which is a sand tongue in the middle of the sea, there is a tunnel situated 150m from the Hotel that takes you to the riverbank where there is a boat service (special price for Hotel guests) to the magnificent beaches of La Flecha de El Rompido. As a result of this, the Hotel has not established a concrete distance to the beach in meters, but has calculated the approximate time to get to the beach.
