Located directly on the beachfront, with a seafront promenade, on the Isla Canela (Costa de la Luz). A bridge connects the island with the Andalusian village of Ayamonte on the Portuguese frontier, 6km away but part of Spain. Beaches are stretching for 7km with canals and unique natural scenery, favoured by the areas microclimate. The hotel is situated next to a shopping centre and yacht harbour, a kilometre away from the village of Punta del Moral, near the estuary and the Isla Canela golf club. It is 58km from Faro airport (Algarve). There is a bus stop for the village of Ayamonte just 500m from the hotel with good and regular service. The hotel grounds cover 20,000m with extensive gardens and a Moorish style architecture influenced by the culture of the Andalusian Moors.

Accommodation

This attractive, Andalusian style hotel has 300 rooms and 101 apartments in the main building and adjacent buildings. Modern, comfortably equipped rooms with bathroom, shower, WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, minifridge (minibar; on request), safety deposit box (extra charge; paid locally) and balcony or terrace. Some rooms have lateral or full sea views. Apartments have one or two separate bedroom and fully equipped kitchenette; otherwise they are identical to rooms.

Food & Beverage

Half board service (breakfast and evening meal) offers a generous, varied buffet. Main restaurant with show cooking, specialities restaurant, cafe (all with air conditioning) and snack bar by the pool, as well as a beach bar during the summer only.

All Inclusive Food & Drinks

The full board consists of a Breakfast (07:45-10:45), Lunch (13:00-15:00) and Dinner served in the rich buffet style at the Main Restaurant. The hotel guest can choose to dine at two restaurants the Main Restaurant (open from 19:30-22:00) and the buffet Restaurant Thematico (open from 20:30-22:30 only during the Summer months July/ August). Morning Snacks are served between 10:45-12:30 such as sandwiches, bread, marmalade, butter, fruits and coffee. Afternoon cakes are available between 16:00-18:00 & various sandwiches between 16:00-19:00 at the Bar Animation. There are three hotel bars available for AI clients: Main Bar (open from 22:30-24:00 offering animation and different sandwiches), Lobby Bar (open from 20:00-24:00 offering drinks from special All Inclusive menu) and Bar Animation (open from 10:00-24:00).

Free of charge in the complex: Fitness-room and table tennis. Extra charge for: billiards. Nearby 18-hole golf course, plus the Islantilla course 30km away. A marina with 231 spaces (first phase) is 1km away with a shopping centre and water sports (seasonal) (sailing, motorised watersports, water skiing, fishing, diving etc.) Also: English bowling greens, two football pitches and other sporting facilities in the area. An extensive, enjoyable programme is offered by the entertainment team plus professional performances.
