Weather
Forget the rain! Denia's average annual temperature is over 20° Celsius: over 30° Celsius in the summer and rarely going below 10° Celsius even at Christmas. Winter days also have clear blue skies, so slap on the sunscreen and relax by the pool - or, the beach! In other words, you can escape on Denia holidays at practically any time of the year and still get good weather.
Attractions
Denia's 12th century fortress is situated in the epicentre of the town and juts out amidst a shroud of towering lime trees. Within the castle walls you'll find the Museums of Archaeology, Ethnology and even a Toy Museum. The nearby Roman ruins of L'Amadrava are a must-see in the summer for a taste of imperial culture. Holidays to Denia aren't complete if you bypass the Church of the Assumption without taking in it's astounding baroque architecture.

Nightlife
Whether you're eighteen or eighty, you won't be stuck for a good night on your Denia holidays! Take a walk down the Calle de Marques de Campo, or Main Street, where the bulk of the bars are, with everything from Spanish Tavernas to Irish Pubs. The Javea Road plays host to most of the clubs in this area, but Benidorm's all-night clubs and karaoke bars are only twenty minutes away for party animals!

Landscape
The golden-silted seafronts here are divided by the harbour between them, from the rowdier blue flag beaches such as Les Marinas to the north, to the altogether more tranquil Les Rotes, perfect for relaxing Denia holidays while watching the yachts and ferries sailing into the azure horizon. The most prominent of the mountains abutting Denia is Montgo, which is worth a visit not just for the gorgeous views it affords, but for a visit to the Montgo Natural Park to picnic amongst the huge oaks.
Culture
Denia loves a fiesta! The four-day riot of Fallas in March sees huge, finely-crafted figurines of all descriptions incinerated in a blaze of colour, accompanied by street parades and merry mayhem! Don't worry if you miss it though, there's plenty of other fiestas here all year round so you'll get a taste of the festival spirit no matter when you come on holidays to Denia. And for a slightly quieter ambience you can visit the fish market every afternoon, or Monday's huge open-air market in the town.
