Comments:
It took my partener and I a while to figure out where the resturants and nightlife were at in Santa Pola, and when we did find them, well it was pretty disapointing. We'r not the "party animal" type of people, but we do like a few drinks and somewhere decent to eat. There was not much to do in the day time in Santa Polo. Although there was a bus going into benidorm we didnt have much luck at the tourist info place as they did not speak very good english so we did not have any help when finding the bus. Luckily, although the hotel was a little out of the way it did have a bar that was rather lively, most nights we stayed there as we found more atmosphere there than the town. There were also nappys on the side of the road which was pretty off putting. But even though the destination wasnt the best we made the most of what we had (sun and pool) and just had a relaxing experience. We also learned a valid lesson...You get what you pay for.
Useful Tips:
Umm the little square in the town... I dont really know what it was about but it was pretty. oh and te dirty nappys on the side of the road.

Comments:
We spent a week in Alicante in July 08 and had the best time. We had planned to travel around whilst we were there but ending up just enjoying the atmosphere of Alicante town. The beaches are really nice, sandy and warm sea. We hired sunbeds and parasole each day (only 11 Euros and well worth the money). Alicante at night is brilliant, loads of bars and restaurants including our favourite, Sel and Peppa - the best pizzas you could imagine. We also manage to consume quite a few of the fabulous cocktails that are served in the bars. Day time is brilliant aswell - lots of shops, bars and restaurants as well as plenty of old buildings and places to visit. We cant wait to go back
Useful Tips:
The quaint narrow streets that come alive at night with pavement bars and restaurants
