Landscape
Portimao has a stunning landscape and is surrounded by the Monchique Mountains with its forests and green valleys. Culture
The Portimao town church dates back to 1476 and is an example of the town’s great history. The nearby village of Armacao de Pera is home to an 18th Century fortress while the fishing village of Ferragudo remains largely unspoilt and is a great place to visit if you want to observe true Algarve culture.
