- Destination was great, just what we wanted a last minute break away, food was good in the hotel staff were freindly and good with the children, Beaches was a bit of a walk but we like to walk so that was not a problem.

- not suitable for someone that does not like a walk.

- I decided on Portugal for my boyfriend's 30th Birthday surprise as neither of us had been there before. Alvor is a lovely town. Cobbled streets and hundreds of restaurants. Our favourite place to eat was by the harbour as you could see the local fishermen walk up from the beautiful bay and throw today's catch on the bbq at the restaurants - fresh as you like! We walked up and down the beach watching the tide. The climate is fantastic; hot with a cooling breeze. There are lots of restaurants and bars for all age groups. The sandy beach is about a 10 minute walk from the centre which is handy because the traffic is restricted, but this adds to the simplicity... There was a local market in the morning which sells fresh produce including bread & fish. The locals are very friendly too! I just love Alvor and would reccomend it to friends and family...

- Algarve boat company down on Alvor harbour with traditional Portuguese boats. Chill Out Bar, Alvor for the ultimate relax! Bom Bom cafe for great value Slide and splash water park for children & adults!

- this was an unforgetable holiday from the moment we arrived the sunshine greeted us until the day we left. The many wonderful places to eat out and visit and of course the beautiful beach in Alvor which was not overcrowded at this time of year, blue skies, sunshine what more could you want. Our entertainment was laid on for us each night in the Black Stove Bar by the musician there, Keith Wilson from Co. Armagh, who never failed to entertain the crowds there each night, once we found it we made it our main port of call each night until the early hours, we didn't want to miss a note of Keith's music and we were never disappointed. Each night was as if it was our first night - Keith never let his standard drop, he was amazing and we can't wait to get back to enjoy his wonderful music and banter, he was wonderful and thanks to him we have many happy memories of our holiday. We will see you all in August.
