Landscape

Salina does not have its own beach although there is a small stretch of shingle beach at nearby Qawra. Both Paradise Bay and Mellieha Bay are not too far to travel if you're looking for magnificent sandy beaches. In fact, Salina Bay is famous for its salt pans which were created by the Knights of St. John back in the 16th Century and whose scent is still very prevalent down by the shoreline.

Culture

Holidays in Salina are still very much in their infancy when compared to many other Maltese resorts. It is still being developed so if it's culture you're after, a short stroll to the beautiful area and sights around the harbour at St Pauls Bay will be much to your liking.
