Paceville is the indisputable party capital of Malta and should be right up your street if you like your nightlife long, loud and raucous. It is located on the northern side of St Julians and has a high concentration of bars, nightclubs and restaurants favoured by a predominantly younger set, although it does cater for adults who are a little older too. However, its appeal is more attracted to those in their teens and in their early to mid 20s predominantly.

Weather
Most of what goes on in Paceville happens when the sun goes down so, for many, the weather is not truly of the highest concern. Nevertheless, Paceville's summers are hot with temperatures well up above 30° Celsius to match the heat generated within its packed bars and nightclubs. The partying doesn't stop in winter when temperatures will still reach a respectable 15° Celsius most of the time.
Attractions
Bars and nightclubs and even more bars and nightclubs! That's not strictly all that Paceville has to offer but its appeal is very much focused on its vibrant nightlife. It does have a number of side streets however with fashion and typical tourist shops at its Bay Street centre and St Julians next door has its own casino and a slightly less frenetic social scene, albeit an appealing one. There are also plenty of penny arcades, a cinema close by in St Georges and ten pin bowling to break up the party atmosphere from time to time should you start flagging a bit.

Nightlife
Most of Paceville's major nightlife venues are located on 4 streets which lead from the main square on Dragonara Road, St Georges Road, St Rita Steps and Wilga Street with Axis and Havana just two of the more famous nightspots. However, if you're not a clubber, you'll still find plenty of lively more traditional British theme pubs in the area.
If it all gets too much, St Julians still has its own very unique brand of nightlife which might be more to your tastes. But be prepared for partying all through the night from dusk til dawn if you intend holidaying in Paceville.

Landscape
There are no beaches in Paceville although you can find a small sandy beach at St Georges Bay which is within easy walking distances and St Julians attracts many sun worshippers.
Culture
It's a little difficult to equate one looking for culture amidst the frenetic nightlife of Paceville but if it all the clubbing simply gets too much, a bus ride to Valletta is good to blow away the cobwebs and to add a little spice and variety to your holiday. Meanwhile Sliema is a great place to buy all those extra designer clothing items and jewellery you'll want to wear to impress people on the dancefloor.
