I lived insitges for 4 years yet didnt really appreciate it until i moved back to england and then after 2 years went back for a holiday with my boyfriend. When i lived there i would be in jeans and jumpers in september and october so i packed jeans, warm t-shirts and some jumpers. When i got there however i immediately found out that the only reason i had worn jumpers was because i was used to the weather, having now lived in the north east of england for 2 years i was not used to hot weather anymore so i found it almost unbearably hot for the first day, until i got to my hotel and could change into a cooler outfit.
It was brilliant weather for the whole week we were there and there was not even a hint of rain. We went to the beach for four of the days we were there and spent the rest of our time browsing the many little boutique shops dotted around the streets of sitges town.
The church there is stunning at night when it is all lit up and the restaurants are well worth a visit.
Useful Tips:
You should look out for the amazing menu del dias as they are excellent value for money.
Also the crepe shops are wonderful but if i were you i would pack a knife and fork as they can be quite tricky to eat in public if you dont want to get in an embarassing mess with chocolate sauce going everywhere.
Also you should go down every single street as what looks like a small alleyway could hold quaint little cafes or restaurants and usually more than one great shop to buy souvenirs and presents.
Also for couples a hint on contraception... take condoms with you or buy them in the supermarket as they are unbelievably expensive in chemists.
