this is a great destionation for family or couples, there were lots to do, and would also keep children happy. this was our second visit. I like the short flight from Scotland. We stayed at the Mollinos Park hotel, on an all inclusive, the food was great plenty of choice at every meal. we enjoyed the audlt only sun terrace nice to enjoy the sun.
Useful Tips:
you can get a 10 journy bus pass, that works out cheaper, than paying every trip, and you can get around to visit other beaches and markets or towns. Also the wee train is also worth a trip.

Comments:
I lived insitges for 4 years yet didnt really appreciate it until i moved back to england and then after 2 years went back for a holiday with my boyfriend. When i lived there i would be in jeans and jumpers in september and october so i packed jeans, warm t-shirts and some jumpers. When i got there however i immediately found out that the only reason i had worn jumpers was because i was used to the weather, having now lived in the north east of england for 2 years i was not used to hot weather anymore so i found it almost unbearably hot for the first day, until i got to my hotel and could change into a cooler outfit. It was brilliant weather for the whole week we were there and there was not even a hint of rain. We went to the beach for four of the days we were there and spent the rest of our time browsing the many little boutique shops dotted around the streets of sitges town. The church there is stunning at night when it is all lit up and the restaurants are well worth a visit.
Useful Tips:
You should look out for the amazing menu del dias as they are excellent value for money. Also the crepe shops are wonderful but if i were you i would pack a knife and fork as they can be quite tricky to eat in public if you dont want to get in an embarassing mess with chocolate sauce going everywhere. Also you should go down every single street as what looks like a small alleyway could hold quaint little cafes or restaurants and usually more than one great shop to buy souvenirs and presents. Also for couples a hint on contraception... take condoms with you or buy them in the supermarket as they are unbelievably expensive in chemists.

La Pineda is a quieter part of Salou. Lovely promenade with glorious beach. Plenty of restaurants and bars. It only takes 10 mins by bus into Salou centre and they run approx every ten minsa 1 euro 80 each way. Salou is lovely in the evenings with superb fountain shows on the promenade.I would definately recommend this area for a relaxing holiday.

This was my first holiday abroad and was everything i dreamed it would be, the beach was clean with plenty to do from just laying on a lounger and watching others to activities, small food and drink bars dotted along the beautiful sands so you dont have to wander far. The town is full of intersting shops and cheap resturants selling fab food....wonderful at night the fountain which changes colour and dances....great holiday, great people, great place for families.
Useful Tips:
Along the front of the beach, a water maze, playground for children, a resturant, shaded areas, a boule area, ex pats gather here, the lovely fountain and statue. Plenty of shops selling things from designer clothes to arcades with gifts beach bags and swim wear cheap.

We went on a weeks holiday to cap salou! which is great for kids as we watched some of the entertainment in our hotel before walking down to the little kids park 5 mins down the road. This was perfect as it wasn't too busy and you could quite easily sit and watch your kids play on all the ride and of course you could venture into Salou to Portaventura which is definatley a must!.
Useful Tips:
visit portaventura its fantastic and you could easily spend i day there.

I thought salou was absolutely fabulous. This place is excellent for couples, famillies and singles it has everything.Salou has a big theme park for adults and children called portaventura this is a really good day out for everyone. The beach is lovely and clean with water sports such as jet skiing. There is an aqua park aswell which is a good day out, it also has a dolphin and sea lion show which are fun.Theres a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops and theres a market day on a sunday. I would definately go back there and recommend this resort to anyone.
Useful Tips:
I would definately recomend visiting portaventura as it is a huge theme park, not just full of rides but has shows, shops and loads of restaurants from chinese foods to indian foods it has everything. Its a fun day out, does get tiring as it is a very big place but it is worth visiting.
