All accommodation in the Dom Pedro Baia Hotel is luxuriously appointed and offers all the amenities expected in a 4-star hotel. All rooms are equipped with a direct dial telephone, television with ten channels, central heating, safety deposit box (local charge), Dom Pedro bathroom amenities, emergency pull-cord and a fire detector. Club rooms feature balcony, hairdryer, mini bar, tea and coffee facilities and VIP treatment upon arrival.

Food & Beverage

The hotel is proud of its Baia de Zarco Restaurant overlooking the beautiful bay of Machico. The restaurant is decorated in soft peach tones which creates a restful atmosphere for diners and is open from 07:30-10:00 for breakfast, 12:30-14:30 for lunch and 18:30-21:00 for dinner. The friendly Piano bar is on the third floor of the hotel, and is ideally placed for guests wishing to take afternoon tea. Every night there is live entertainment and guests may enjoy a pleasant sociable drink together. The pool bar next to the outdoor swimming pool is open from 10:00-18:00 with lunch available from 12:30 to 14:30.

All Inclusive Food & Drinks

The AI programme consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner, all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals local selected wine, local beer, mineral water and soft drinks are offered. Snacks of the day are available everyday from 11:00-11:30 & 17:00-18:00 either at the pool bar or the piano bar as well as ice cream hour between 16:00 & 17:00. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks such as hard liqueurs (rum, gin, vodka, whiskey), selected wines, beer, cocktails, tea and coffee are served from 10:00-24:00 at the pool bar and the piano bar.

Sports & Leisure

The hotels offers a variety of sports including a swimming pool with separate childrens pool, a tennis court, volleyball, badminton, bowls and archery (all equipment is available from reception). A multi-lingual diving instructor is based in the hotel and offers lessons and diving sessions (payable locally) to guests and is affiliated to international diving organisations such as PADI, SSI, PDIC, BSAC and IDD.

All Inclusive Sports & Entertainment

Sport facilities at the hotel include volleyball, badminton, tennis, petanque - bowls, bicycle (max 6pax), archery, darts, ping pong and water sports like sea kayaking, sailing and windsurfing (on request, only from July to September). Please note that all sports are subject to availability & upon request. Once per week gymnastics, hydro gymnastics as well as introduction to scuba diving in the pool are available.

Chargeable Extras

Billiards, scuba diving, golf (8km away from hotel) and all motorized sports & equipment are available at a charge.

The hotel also has a gift shop open every day, a hairdresser open Monday to Saturday and a conference room with a capacity for 180 persons plus a top table seating 8. Laundry service is also offered.
