- Our third visit to zante proved to be just as good as the other two visits fine beaches, secluded coves,beautiful turquose waters the scenery here is breathtaking, we hired a jeep so that we could visit the untouched parts of the island we stayed in kalamaki which is great for families and the elderley as its easy for walking there are a good amount of restaurants and bars a thoroughly enjoyable holiday

- It was perfect, plently of restaurants and bars, very good for families, young and older couples. Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Filoxenia, which was supposed to be a 4 star, but it was more like a two. But never the less we had a good time, we were always out and about, a very long walk from our hotel to the beach and restaurants, but at least all that walking stopped me from putting weight on from eating all the gorgeous food! Greek food it lovely! Overall the holiday was fantastic! Will hopefully be going back next year, but staying in a better hotel!
- Useful Tips:
- Wasps, they are a bit of a pain around the pools! also men selling CD's, but they go away when you say no, and thats about it, lovely holiday, would recommend it to anyone!

- We loved it here, as it is a quieter island. We stayed in Tragaki, which was very low key and perfect for our needs. There are livlier parts i.e. Laganas, which is more suitable for young people.

- There is a lot more to zante than we first thought. Although a small island, we packed 2 weeks without any of the usual "i'm bored" comments from any of the 5 kids in our party. The island jeep safari is an absolute must, as long as you dont mind being thrown around in the jeep a little. The locals are generally very friendly, and i bumped into alot of people from my home town working in the various bars and restaurants in argassi. The shipwreck, or smugglers cove is also a must to visit, however steer clear of the large boats offering round the island cruises, try to get a smaller boat that goes straight to the shipwreck, and giving you a few hours there. This beauty spot is not accessible by any other means than boat, so dont be fooled into taking a coach by road as you wont be able to get onto the beach there. so - do the jeep safari, take a small boat excursion, and do as much water sports as you can... 10 out of 10 for the weather too :)
- Useful Tips:
- Take calamine milk with you, as prickly heat is a problem. Always check taxi charge before getting in (they vary wildly from taxi to taxi). Be very careful of pickpockets in zante town. When coming home, take water and some food with you to the airport, as prices are extortionate.

- When i went i was only 16 but it is the most beautifal place i have ever seen there is loads to do the water park was amazing the boat trip was really good to we went to smugglers cove its gorgeous and in our resort were some really nice restaraunts they even had indian and chinese but the greek one's are always the best and the people are very nice it is wonderfull would reccomend this place to anyone but if your in to the lively nightlife then laganas is the place for you. Also if you hire a car take a trip to port veromi north of the island very beautifal beach.

- when going to alykanas take a trip over the bridge on the canal it leads you right in to alykes another gr8t resort with plenty of bars and restaraunts, also look for day trips. water park deffintley reccomend to any1

- Beautiful Place, not too comericalised, Stayed in the golden sun hotel, lots of hidden charges, eg fridge, aircon, no kettle in room,the food was not great, you would not rush out of bed for breakfast. The pool was the cleanest pool i have ever been in but bring your own matress for sunlounger none supplied, everything was quite basic, the staff were lovely and friendly

- Bring your own kettle and sunlounger matress, go self catering if possible or B&B because there is a great selection of eating places and all very reasonable.

- We enjoy Zante the poeple on average are very freindly.The Island has a bit of something for everybody.
- Useful Tips:
- Watersports if you are into that, Plenty of nightlife, also plenty of other trips of intrest.

- At first sight this resort does not look like much, however, once you start to look around it is a wonderful destination. There is a lovely sandy beach (a little narrow in places). You can walk out about 200 metre before you get into deep water (perfect for kids). The water was warm and crystal clear. There are some great bars (with or without music), really good selection of restaurants (Apollo in particular is great). Ammos Bar on the beach is great for lunch and drinks in the shade when it gets too hot. Lovely walks along the river, really pretty, although not quite finished. Wonderful views of the hills all around. Everywhere you look there are flowers and vegetables growing in peoples gardens. Vineyards and olive groves. Fig trees and citrus trees everywhere. It is a wonderful place for couples, people with children and for people like me who don't want a night club on every corner.
- Useful Tips:
- I mentioned above the Apollo Restaurant, the Ammos Beach Bar, the Lemon Tree Restaurant and a wonderful little bar on the bridge over the river.

- This was my 6th visit to Zante so I guess you could say I quite like the place!
- Useful Tips:
- I was very surprised at how much the prices had risen since I was last there in 2007. I also noticed that it is very much geared to the tourist and could only buy British brand names and no Greek equivalents, such as beans etc. I don't buy Heinz/Kraft when I'm home let alone on holiday when they are always far more expensive.
