Comments:
great family run hotel, food was good menu changed every night, good quality drinks for all inclusive, beach less than 50mtrs away never overcrowded, 10min to the village of gennadi small tavernas, baker shop fruit/veg shop, supermarket, i was amazed at the prices here, but being a typical greek village these places were open all year round, not one tacky souvenir shop in sight, good bus service to lindas only €2, hotels pool was open to visitors, a beer cost €1.80 that's good, rooms were done reguarly, staff were nice, we liked this hotel because of its location, no entertainment, no big tv screens, app 1hr from airport by taxi, not many brits at this hotel, for the most were from hungary poland, italians, not that it bothered us, look forward to going back again sometime
Useful Tips:
nice small run family hotel, quiet location, and a real greek village, as most touristy place shut down in the winter, if you like surfing there's a place about 15 miles away hotel will arrange transport for you, if you want to discover the rest of rhodes maybe a hire car

Comments:
We spent a lovely week (wish it had been two) all inclusive at Ampelia Beach. Just a stones throw from a near enough deserted beach with plenty of space and available sun beds every day. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and made our stay a very welcoming one. The breakfast and evening meal were both delicious and varied, while there was a short list at the pool bar for lunch. The rooms are basic, but are very clean and have lovely views. Ampelia Beach is away from the hustle and bustle of overpopulated holiday maker towns and in a very quiet and small area of Rhodes, while there are buses passing through to take you to the larger towns if you fancy a day out. The hotel has a lovely pool, where the holiday makers don't rush with their towels first thing in the morning to catch their sun beds. We went all different times of the day and there were always beds available. The perfect place for a relaxing, peaceful holiday!
Useful Tips:
Wonderful fish restaurants close by on the beach are a must! There is a small village in walking distance (about 5 minutes) with small tavernas, scooter and car hire, supermarket and chemist, but if you do want souveniers there are no shops in the village. A bus travels down the main street, which will take you to larger ones.
