- The golden star hotel and apartments were fantastic. The rooms where very spacious and cleaned everyday. 3 of us went all adults and where all able to stay comfortably in one room. The resort of Tingaki is small but has everything you need. The beach there is fantastic, soft golden sand. The bar at the hotel has happy hour 12-4 when the beer is only 2 euros. We stayed on self catering basis but there is a half board basis, and I must say the food looked excellent. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the resort down dark roads, but is well worth the stay as it is quiet and peaceful, the only noise you hear are the neighbouring cockerals which may keep you awake for thr first night. We had a wonderful time and would definately go back to this hotel.
- Useful Tips:
- I would recommend Mascot and memories bars for cocktails and entertainment, both of which are open until 4pm. All the restaurants are good, we didn't have a bad meal. I would recommend hiring a car and getting round the island. However the buses are that good and so cheap that they are an excellent alternative.
