The Helona Resort is a five star luxury resort situated on the South shoreline of the emerald isle of Kos, facing the island of Nissyros. Built high above the sandy beach of Helona, the property spreads out over 70 landscaped acres full with lush gardens and man-made lagoons, ponds and pools as its dominant theme. The combination of Italian (Venetian) and Aegean (Dodecanese) architecture merged with colourfully landscaped grounds and paths, The Helona Resort is housed in numerous two story buildings offering a spectacular view of the blue- Aegean.

Accommodation

All 250 rooms are equipped with a furnished balcony, bath with a shower, individually controlled air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, flat-screen satellite TV and radio channels, wireless internet access and voice mail, mini bar and fridge, large safety deposit box, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer. All rooms have double or twin beds, and an extra sofa bed. Also non-smoking rooms are available. The hotel offers a room service for breakfast, snacks and beverages.

Food & Beverage

The guests may enjoy a large variety of international and local cuisine at the hotel’s two restaurants and the Greek taverna. Amongst the dishes offered there are vegetarian dishes included in the dinner buffet and low calorie alternatives in the breakfast buffet. The guests may also enjoy a cold drink or beverage in the hotel’s three bars.

Apart from the swimming pools, the hotel’s beach features the best sandy beach in the island of Kos with cool breezes, gentle waters and a picture-perfect view of Nissyros island. Sunbeds, umbrellas and beach towels are provided free of charge. There is also a great variety of water sports available, as wind surfing, sailing, etc with instructors at the guest’s disposal. The guests may also enjoy a game of beach volley. There are also table tennis facilities, darts, boccia, aerobics and aquaerobics. There are also tennis floodlit courts with synthetic lawn with quartz sand (available free of charge) and bikes. On the lower level of the main building of the complex there is a spa, which offers the following facilities to the hotel guests free of charge: an indoor heated swimming pool, two Jacuzzis, a sauna, a steam room (hamam) a laconium, a fitness centre, a relaxation room and three treatment rooms with the following treatments offered at an extra charge, massage, revitalizing treatment, reflexology, aromatherapy, anti ageing treatments, body wraps, scrubs, facials, hair salon and nail salon.

The hotel offers an indoor lounge, a TV and video room, an internet corner, a card and game room. For the younger guests there is a mini club and play ground. The attended day-care centre, which available for selected hours during morning and afternoon, organises a variety of games, competitions and activities. Also babysitters are available at set rates. There is also available, a 24 hour reception, with porter service, a car hire and foreign exchange service, business services and laundry services. The hotel also offers to its guests an outdoor hotel parking, a courtesy bus to and from Kardamena village.

Useful Information on Distances

There is a public bus service to and from Kardamena village, once or twice per daily. The airport of Kos is also seven kilometres away from the hotel.
