Official Rating - 4* - All Inclusive

The Eri Sun Village overlooks the resort of Hersonissos, being positioned at the top of a hill with excellent views of the surrounding area and the sea. The hotel is about 25 km from Heraklion airport. Approximately 500m away, there is a bus stop that gives access to both places through a regular bus service. The Hotel is located in a Cretan garden amongst trees and flowers. As the hotel is situated on a steep hill, car hire is recommended for those guests with walking difficulties or families with young children in pushchairs.

Accommodation

The hotel has 230 modern style bedrooms with a safety deposit box (local charge), telephone, satellite television, air conditioning, heating (April), bath and toilet plus hairdryer. Rooms have a balcony or terrace. The spacious family rooms have a living room with a kitchenette and 2 separate bedrooms with 4 standard beds, plus the same facilities as the standard double rooms. N.B: Safety Deposit box is €2.65 a day. Air conditioning free in high season (16th July to 21st August) and €6 per day in other seasons.

All Inclusive Food & Drinks

The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:15-10:00), lunch (12:15-14:00) and dinner (18:30-21:00), all buffet style with Greek specialties, served in the main restaurant. During breakfast coffee, tea and juices are offered; during lunch & dinner, draught beer & house wine. Coffee time with cakes is between 16:00 & 17:00 at the pool bar. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like draught beer, house wine (rose or white), ouzo, raki, local brandy, tea or coffee are served at the lobby bar (18:00-23:00) and the pool bar (10:00-23:00).

All Inclusive Sports & Entertainment

Sport facilities at the hotel include gym room, table tennis, two tennis courts, basketball, beach volley courts, two seawater swimming pools both with separate children’s pools, umbrellas and sun beds. For children there is a playground area and small tennis court.

The hotel offers an attractive reception lounge with a television corner. Please note that there is currently no animation programme available.

Useful Information

Old city of chersonissos is a very nice and traditional village about 1 km from hotel with many cretan taverns with traditional food and sweet atmosphere. Koutouloufari Village also is a traditional village near of old chersonissos village with a traditional cretan style you can find there many taverns and bars. Piskopiano is one more traditional village in the same place with the other two its smaller but with the same style. The distance from the hotel is about 1 km up on the mountain side, from the left side of chersonissos.

Reps Opinion

The hotel is located at the top of a steep hill approximately 20 minutes walk from the beach and the Eri Sun Village. Recommended to couples and families with older children. This is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties or families with young children in pushchairs unless they hire a car. There is no animation programme here at the moment. Due to improvements made with facilities at the hotel and performance of S06, we have upgraded our rating to a 4 Medwing for S07. NB: The AI is a light AI Category which means the programme is based on full board with drinks.
