Located in Marsa Alam, in the Red Sea, the 4 star world class resort disposes of 150 rooms and suites. The resort is built in an authentic Nubian & Arabic design and atmosphere. The hotel is a preserved area, close to all the most beautiful diving sites and offers an exclusive private sandy beach. The hotel is located just 20 minutes south of Marsa Alam International Airport.

Accommodation

All rooms and suites are designed with the Nubian tradition of domed ceilings and stone archways set around beautiful gardens. Rooms and suites have either sea or garden view, private terrace or balcony, temperature controlled A/C, satellite TV channels, direct dial telephone, private bathroom / 220 volt, mini bar and safety boxes. The family rooms /suites of the hotel are perfect for families with children or small groups and offer all of the above plus separate living room, futon sleep sofa and additional TV. Furthermore the hotel has the following rooms available 3 rooms for handicapped, 18 connecting rooms, baby beds & extra beds as well as hair dryers upon request.

Food & Beverage

A number of restaurants and bars are at the disposal of the customers. The Nubia main restaurant serves international open buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner at the indoor or outdoor area (covered terrace overlooking the pool and beach area). The Red C Seafood & Steak restaurant located directly on the beach (will be opened shortly) serves fresh seafood, fish and steaks. The Bella Napoli Pizzeria (will be opened shortly) offers pizza & pasta on a seaside terrace. Finally, there is the Ali Baba Oriental Café where customers can enjoy a famous Turkish coffee or a sheesha pipe in a relaxing oriental garden setting as well as a pool bar. Furthermore in the hotel’s private beach guests can find the Calypsos beach bar.

All Inclusive Food & Drinks

The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (13:00-15:00) and dinner (19:30-21:30), all buffet style with international (six times weekly) & oriental (once weekly) cuisine, served in the main restaurant. There is also daily pasta corner during lunch and dinner. During meals water, cola, fanta, sprite (soft drinks from dispenser), beer and wine (red & white) are offered. Snacks such as pizza, sandwiches and pop corn (rotating menu) are available between 17:00 & 18:00 at the pool bar as well as tea & coffee time with sweet snacks from 16:00-17:00. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like cola, fanta, sprite, juice, mineral water (from dispenser), black tea, American coffee, Nescafe, etc are served at the pool bar and the lobby bar from 10:00-23:00.

Sports & Leisure

The hotel has a 2000 m2 heated pool made up of 4 interconnecting pools, pool island, children’s pool with mushroom fountain, diving pool, pool area with water massagers, sliding board and water sunbathing area, aqua gym, water polo /soccer, mini beach football, beach volleyball , beach tennis, fitness centre-gym, billiards, darts, board games and more, table tennis / ping pong. The hotel currently offers the following: a fitness centre / gymnasium and a massage centre. During the day a numerous activities by the hotel’s animation team are organised such as aqua gym, water polo, beach football , beach volley, beach tennis, yoga /stretching, mini club as well as folkloric shows (Oriental, Nubian, and Oriental belly dancers) and other performances at night (activities, days and times may vary).

All Inclusive Sports & Entertainment

Sport facilities at the hotel include four swimming pools, volleyball, water-ball, mini football, water gym and speedball. Animation programme is offered five times a week.

Chargeable Extras

The Fish restaurant, the Pizzeria Corner (both A la Carte) and an integrated shopping centre (bazaars, bookshop, jewels, perfumes, etc) are available at a charge.

Facilities & Services

Other facilities/services at the hotel include shopping arcade which is made up of 10 shops, gold & silver shop, specialty gift shop, oriental bazaar and others, a medical clinic /doctor on call (24 hours), money exchange, massage centre and qualified dive centre (Facilities are offered but not included). The beach at the resort provides to its customers an exclusive private beach of 300 meter, and the coast extends up to 2klm. The beach is equipped with sun beds, beach towels, umbrellas, beach chairs for sun soaking in the water, beach side kids play land, mini beach football, and disco.

Please note that some construction works will take place at the Abu Nawas until 31/10/2008; new rooms and a swimming pool in the north side of the resort will be built during this period.
