Those looking for a busy beach resort will not find this here as this is very much a medieval town, but it does have its newer resort which is a bit more up to date. Weather
The weather in Cyprus is always remarkable so make the most of it by visiting in the summer if you like it hot, hot, hot! The Byzantine church is well worth visiting, as is the 16th Century Church of the Theotokos. This village is rich in history so it is worth taking walks in the surrounding countryside to really find out what is on offer. There are also plenty of fruit orchards, vineyards and ancient churches just waiting for you to explore but for those not wanting to explore the village's history, there are other attractions on offer.
There are a number of shops offering local crafts and markets where you can sample the local fruit. Indulge in the local delicacies and stop off at a local cafe, many of which stock locally produced foods and wines.
