Ayia Napa is perfect for those wanting an exciting nightlife or some relaxation in this tranquail old fishing village. Situated in the south east of Cyprus, this resort is famous for its glamorous beaches and colourful nightlife. Although Ayia Napa holidays are suitable for families, it is known as a party capital for young people so be aware that it will be very busy in the summer.

Weather
From Cyprus you can expect glorious weather all year round. In the summer months it is not unusual for temperatures to be over 30° Celsius which is one of the reasons why Ayia Napa holidays are so popular with sun lovers; make sure you pack your suncream! Winter months usually have temperatures in the middle 20s so those looking for winter sun will definitely get it here.
Attractions
Ayia Napa holidays have a number of attractions on offer, particularly those that focus on the sandy beaches. The beach at Nissi Beach is a gorgeous stretch of fine sand with crystal clear waters where you can take in the scenery or maybe try out a number of watersports. Those wanting to explore more of the island's history should head to the best known landmark, Ayia Napa Monastry. This landmark gives you a great insight into how the resort used to be when it was a sleepy fishing village.
The town contains a number of museums that are worth a visit, such as The Makronissos Tombs which is an ancient burial site. Those who want something more modern and dont mind parting with money, should visit the number of shops that are available. The Square is the best place to visit if you want to buy some homemade items. Or maybe take the children for a trip to WaterWorld, after all, no holiday in Ayia Napa would be complete without an excursion to the slides.

Nightlife
The Square is central to the town and is definitely the place to be for party animals on holidays to Ayia Napa. Filled with restaurants, bars and nightclubs, this is where all the nightlife is situated. DJs and other acts are known for performing at some of the nightclubs so if you fancy downing jelly shots till dawn, Ayia Napa holidays are for you.
Families on holidays in Ayia Napa may find the nightlife a bit too much but there are a number of quieter restaurants available that are suitable for family-friendly. Or why not head 5 miles to the town of Protaras which is fairly low-key and popular with families on holiday.
