General Information: Hotel Bara has a calm and peaceful atmosphere, our guests always feel at home here. Location: In the heart of Budapest, close to all the exciting sites and high streets, by the feet of Gellert Hill. Area: Rising steeply above the capital, Gellert Hill seems from the Danube to be a huge cliff, al- though it is only 140 meters (430 ft.) above the level of the river. Owing to its exceptional situation, it offers a peerless panorama of the entire city. Up to the end of the nineteenth century this was the limit of the town of Buda, and the hill served as an outpost and fortress of Buda Castle. Recreation: Our experienced and friendly staff will organise further entertaining programmes, sightseeing tours or folklore events. Our hotel, as a conference centre, is a suitable place for organizing any kind of event. Within the four different conference rooms, we can sit 10 to 450 persons. These rooms are fully equipped with all the modern multimedia tools. The restaurant can host up to 120 people, and it offers both Hungarian and international cooking.
