- The Dominican Republic is a great place to escape for a holiday. The weather is great, the people are all so friendly. The resorts are clean and well maintained and you feel safe. The whole atmosphere is charming. The service and attention in the hotel and the spas is excellent - the pampering and massages, fantastic. This destination is great for families, couples and singles alike. Apart from the resort and beaches there is so much more to see and experience - the countryside, the city, the local restaurants and just getting to know the local people. One visit is not enough!
- Useful Tips:
- The beach sellers. It can be quite irritating having to say "no thank you" time and time again - it can put you off going to the beach.

- Grand Oasis Marien is amazing you couldnt want for anything else. The pool is in two halfs both very large. There are plenty of sunbeds round the pools and plendy on the beach which is directly next to the hotel. If you love to sunbath the sunbeds on the beach are great as there was a lovely breeze to cool you down. There was a snack bar directly by the beach for day time snacks and drinks. the entertainment staff are briliant and always making you smile, there are things to do during the holiday e.g vollyball, water arobix, table tennis, yoga and many many more for all ages. My daughter was taken ill due to the heat the staff were excellent and really helpful and they left extra 2 bottles ofwater in my room after that There was plenty to do and the entertainment staff were very friendly even took my daughter to a night club and bought her safely back to me. Plendy of trips to go on bookable at the hotel. There were five restaurans all excellent with waiters who couldnt do enough.
- Useful Tips:
- Trips i recommend are the Outback Safari great way tosee the real Dominican. The sailing on a 53 foot catamaran was great as we wnt snorkling and swam with the tropicial fish and saw the corel that was really awesome. There were so many trips but they were expensive so we had to limit our self to two but are planning to go back as i want to go up in the cable car and also i want to see the waterfalls. The was a trip to dive with the dolphins but that was £250 each and i never took enough money.

- The Dominican Republic is fantastic. Beautiful Beaches, friendly people, gorgeous weather. I stayed in Cabarete, beautiful evenings on the beach with palm trees and lovely restuarants. Can throughly recommend it

- Barter on the beach for goods, can be much cheaper

- Wicked, very fun and entertaining. Rained at the end of the fortnight, but was still hot.
- Useful Tips:
- Dolpihn world and be careful of the coconuts as they could fall and cause injury's.

- Just gorgeous, We loved it and the people were so warm and freindly.
- Useful Tips:
- I wouldn t recommend car hire, they have thier own laws of the road here, stay with your organised excursions, there are some great ones to choose from here,our favorites were the monster truck safari and swimming with dolphins, your hotel,tour opperator or Rep can book these for you.

- The complex was safe and had all the amenities that you needed.Our hotel was 3 star and on the beach and the beach was amazing.The staff couldnt do enough for you and once a week set up tables and chairs to have your evening meal sat on the beach.Thehotel grounds were full of fresh flowers and trees which were well kept and watered everyday.The rooms were cleaned every day and towels with hand picked flowers were laid out on the bed.There was enough choice of food to suit everyones tastes and 3 seperate restaurants that you could book to have a romantic evening meal.The main thing that bowled me over was how safe it was for my 11year old daughter, to walk around the complex by herself while I sat on the beach she could play in the pool.Amazing holiday and intend to go back.
- Useful Tips:
- Book any trips outside the hotel,there is a small mall where you can go and book them.I would recommend the jeep safari as this was such a good day out and very educational.Climbing up the waterfalls was a chance of a lifetime and we bought the DVD too.When getting a taxi to the hotel negotiate the price before you get into the taxi.

- Lovely Resort - Lovely clean beaches. A Must is the Waterfall trip, fantastic. Very friendly people. Cant wait to go back

- first impressions of the hotel very smart clean and friendly, the reception staff are keen and eager 2 please we stayed in sedona block central 2 everywhere beach pool and bars, the bar staff know everydrink and cocktail going ,polite and eager 2 please entertainment leaves a bit 2 b desired but they do their best, rooms r pleasant clean only thing missing kettle 2 make the early morning cuppa however their is a trolley from 6.30am 4 tea an coffee by the pool area . the pool looked great but dident go in once y ? why would you when their is a fantstic beach a hundred yards away, which is as good as u will find any where even the beach sellers add to it once you give them a chance to have a conversation with them haggle till they walk away and then some more you will end up with a bargain to much choice in there restarants 4 choices 4main course an sweets u name it they have it all in all a great holiday carnt wait 2 go back

- haggle till u drop ,bring crisps snacks with u tea bags etc golfers bring your own clubs hired ones a worse than **** be prepared to relax and chill there is only one speed slow with a big smile enjoy we did

- Amazing! There was so much to sea and do! would definately recommend this country to anyone! The hotel was really nice and the entaintainment was supurbe!!

- The countrys landscape is amazing so you must Go on the excursions to experiance how the domicans live! The excursions definatly made our holiday as we learnt so much about the country. The excursions are pricey but definately worth it and made our holiday! We went on megatrucks, which was such good fun! Oceanworld, Casino night and paradise Island! However if you dont like jelly fish i wouldnt recommend going to paradise island as there are loads of them in the sea but they do not sting as they dont have tenticles!

- This is a wonderful destination if you are looking for winter sun, sand and fun. All the water sports you could wish for and more - you can go on safaris or horse-back riding, the choice is yours. We found the people delightful, always ready to help, and the range of restaurants left us toying with all types of carribean, oriental and occidental cuisine. Roll on next winter.
- Useful Tips:
- Enjoy all types of taxi rides, from luxury down to the rear saddle of a moped. There are numerous excursions on offer, but book them only through a reputable excursion operator.
