Since 1957, the Copacabana has been part of the exclusive Miramar
district in the western area of Havana, the capital of Cuba. In l992, it
was remodeled and expanded. Its architecture, located right on the
coast, is attractive and functional. The rooms are simple and very
comfortable.

About Cuba
- Visas
- British nationals must have a valid passport. A visa is also required if the visitor does not have a Tourist Card. A Tourist Visa Card, costing US$25 or equivalent, may be issued by tour operators, travel agents or airlines for a single entry holiday trip of up to 30 days.

- The official language is Spanish, but English is also spoken by some in the main tourist spots.

- Electricity
- Most older hotels use 110-volt power, while newer hotels use 220 volts. A variety of outlets are in use, but the flat and round two-pin plugs are most common.
- Currency
- The official currency is the Cuban Peso (CUP), divided into 100 centavos, but the 'tourist' currency is the Peso Convertible (CUC), which replaces the US Dollar as currency in tourist related establishments.
