The Colony Club is situated on the finest stretch of Barbados’ Platinum west coast. Restored from a former private Colonial Club, its sophisticated ambiance extends to all tastefully appointed guestrooms meander through seven acres of tropical, palm-filled gardens. Its location is just 40 minutes from Grantley Adams international airport and 20 minutes from Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados. The hotel is legendary with its history which has been carefully preserved through architecture, décor and landscape.

Accommodation

Tastefully renovated guestrooms each with a private patio or balcony (some of them private access to the lagoon pool), all are equipped with cable TV, air conditioning, spacious marble bathrooms with bath tub and shower, hairdryer, clock radio, telephone, mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, iron and ironing board, bathrobes and safe deposit box. In-room dinning, room service is also available.

Food & Beverage

The Laguna restaurant, specializes in continental and seafood fares and also plays host to several theme dinners per week (vary by season). This restaurant offers a true culinary experience for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a covered open-air setting with views of the hotel’s tropical gardens, lagoon pools and ocean beyond. The Orchid Room is an intimate dinner restaurant with an a la carte menu and extensive wine list featuring local cuisine (Dinner only/children over 12 years, (reservations are required as Orchid is not open daily). The Sunset Bar serves tropical concoctions, refreshing cocktails and light casual fare, this bar is located on the pool/beach deck and is conveniently also a swim-up bar. The Planters Bar is an intimate cocktail lounge that opens each evening for pre-dinner drinks (on a seasonal basis).

Sports & Leisure

Some evenings the hotel provides live entertainment including calypso, jazz and other Caribbean-style music. On site concierge staff can assist in planning daily island excursions and activities to enhance the overall holiday experience. At guests disposal there are four freshwater swimming lagoons and Jacuzzi, exercise facility and two floodlit tennis courts (hard court), guest Library with board games and computer for internet access, complimentary water sports including snorkelling, sailing, boogie boards, kayaking, windsurfing, water-skiing, tube rides, banana boats and hobbie cat. Furthermore, the Royal Westmoreland Country Club is a definite must experience, rated within one of the three best golf courses in the world, this private Par- 72 course is a five minute taxi ride from Colony Club and guests benefit from the preferred tee time agreement.
