The Verandah Hotel sits in 30 acres on the untouched north east coast of the island. The hotel is adjacent to a soft white sand beach and features a world of living indigenous ecosystems. A reef protected turquoise bay surrounds the property and the eco-tourism attraction: "Devil`s Bridge," is a brief walk away. Much of the island is covered with banana, mango and coconut groves, lush vegetation and rainforest as well as a number of old sugar mills and pleasant little churches.
