There are some rainy days in winter here, but it's still warm even in heavy downpours, meaning a light cagoule might be in order. But as you would expect in Tenerife the sun is otherwise omnipresent, with clear skies and astronomical temperatures of 25° Celsius in July, and around 15° Celsius by December. Sunscreen, yes - sweaters no!

Attractions
La Plaza del Charco, the town square, is the heart of the place, right by the picturesque port, worth seeing just for itės fountain and palm-strewn pleasance. From here you can visit the 400 year old Church of San Francisco, with it's peaceful parks, and the cultural centre and history museum. The famous Loro Parque Zoo, to the south, houses a Noahės Ark of weird and wonderful wildlife.
Nightlife
Holidays to Tenerife mean experiencing some of the infamous nightlife, although here it's more tailored to an eclectic range of pubs and even one of Europe's most exclusive casinos. There are plenty of clubs and discos, though these are unusual in that they don't really get busy until the wee hours, staying open until dawn. head south to Las Americas or Costa Adeje for a night out.
