There's plenty in Los Cristianos for everyone: the Octopus Water Park, which it'll be hard to get the kids away from, the brilliant Las Aquilas Wildlife Park (make this a day trip), and countless other parks and even the Tenerife Zoo is close by. That's not counting the camel rides, cruises and diving!

Nightlife

Los Cristianos holidays are not just for those looking for relaxation, but those who want a great party! There's great fun to be had at the innumerable bars and restaurants of eclectic nationality around the beach, plus a range of clubs, karaoke and cabaret bars in town. Clubbers will likewise be spoiled for choice, with everything from 80s clubs, techno, house and disco on offer. Only Playa de Las Americas has more - and it's just five minutes away!

Landscape

The two great golden beaches here abut the vast Atlantic beyond - Playa de Los Cristianos is the larger and more popular, but the adjoining bay of Las Vistas offers great watersports among it's giant palms. The horizon is unsullied by either cloud or mist, just clear blue sea, with huge mountains in the distance. Visit the busy little harbour to watch multicoloured boats mooring in, day or night.

Culture

There's a Sunday market here, bustling and bartering going on all around for trinkets of varying quality, and nearby Las Americas has it's own on Thursdays, for items of a more highly fashioned quality. For local festivities, come in February for the area's own Carnival, featuring all the gaudy trappings of Spanish frivolity: outrageous clothes, samba and more paella than you can wave a sombrero at!
