- We spent a week in Lanzarote last year choosing the Occidental. It was a very smart looking hotel with very comfortable spacious rooms, all with a nice balcony and sea view. The restaurant was fantastic with excellent choice for every meal. The staff were always friendly and happy to help, a very enjoyable and relaxing place to spend your holiday
- Useful Tips:
- A trip into Del Carmen is recommended with good bars/restaurants and also cheap shopping

- The hotel i stayed at was good and on an all-inclusive basis, however it is is little to far out of the main resort of Costa Teguise, around a 30-40min walk. On saying that you can get a taxi or bus which only costs a few euros. The resore itself is i can say the better part of Lanzarote as we hired a car and toured the island so was greatful to be in Costa Teguise. The downfall of the hotel was what was stated in the brochures did not ring true on arriving there, for example stating there was a Turkish bath when there wasnn't, the hotel had al a carte restaurants which it did not. The food however in the buffet restaurant was brilliant and l;oads of options on offer. Another part which so irrated several guests including my party was the fact the English and i qoute NOT Germans were getting up at around 6am to put their towles on the sun beds thus leaving the rest of us without a sunbed and in my opinion did effect my hoilday and ability to relax 100%.
- Useful Tips:
- Get an alarm clock so you can get up to get a sunbed, i got up early every day but still struggled to get one! Oh and the entertainment isn't all that good and the guests did exactly the same with the seats in the main area were this was by placing cardigans on the chairs. Some people need to get a life!

- This hotel was everything we hoped for, if not more. Comfortable rooms, good cuisine, easy access, good decor and atmosphere.
- Useful Tips:
- The hotel although by the sea is not by a beach as it is just rock basically. Another thing which we didn't know when we visited is that the hotel is next to a water cleaning plant, so prepare for a buzzing noise if you get a room on the east side of the hotel.
