- After always going to Purto Del Carman in Lanzarote I deceided to visit a different part of the Island for a change. When arriving at Costa Teguise I found it to be so chilled out I did not want my holiday to end. I had a fantastic time and whilst there took my partner to visit Purto Del Carman and we both agreed that we much preferred the slower paced and not so cramped town of Costa Teguise. I found Purto Del Carman to have changed alot since my last visit and it felt a bit like blackpool - cheesy, dirty and full of lager louts. I suppose if you are looking for a holiday like this is would be the perfect destination, which is what i would have enjoyed 10 years ago but for a resort with a little more sophistication i would recommend Costa Teguise without a doubt.
- Useful Tips:
- Legands bar was really good for good quality entertainment and they prices for food and drink are very reasonable. The shopping centre by the beach is great and we had a few good meals, again great value for money.

- An oasis,sparkling sun glistening on the turquoise water,the fine white sand betwen your toes,private coves surronded by deep black volcaic rocks,perfect for shade from the long winters back home palm trees huming a gentle tune as they sway in the breeze and then as night falls the town comes alive vibrant and exotic,mysterious yet familiar,Lanzarote where i feel in love with my partner and an island that will always hold that special place in my heart

- The weather is beautiful in Puerto del Carmen. A fantastic variety of places to visit and beaches to laze about on. The beaches are unique and the kids will be amazed at the black sand. Wonderfully clear water and the locals were very pleasant. Lots of cheap places to eat out. All in all an unforgettable family holiday that will give happy memories for many years to come.
- Useful Tips:
- The Green Oasis and caves are great destinations for a day trip and of course there is the Lanzarote Aquarium to visit which will keep both children and adults occupied for a full day and enthusiastic about returning! A bus trip to see the famous volcanoes will keep the children amused, while being educational too!

- AT FIRST I WAS BEMUSED BY THE LACK OF GREENERY / PLANTS, BUT MY RESORT WAS RIGHT BESIDE THE BEACH WITH FANTASTIC RESTURAUNTS. LOTS OF PEOPLE SPOKE ENGLISH SO NO BARRIERS. TOURS AROUND THE ISLAND WERE GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY AND GREAT INFORMATION / SERVICE. THE VOLCANO IS A MUST TO SEE. AT MY HOTEL IS WAS BEAUTIFUL, THE BEDS WERE COMFY AND THE CLEAN. THE ROOM WAS EN-SUITE WITH A SOFA, SATALITE TV, AIRCODITIONED. THERE WAS 2 POOLS AND A GREAT BAR.

- Good Holiday been to Lanzarote before and enjoyed, first time away with children so a different kind of holiday but still enjoyed, having though to be extra careful with food drinks etc
- Useful Tips:
- Found accomodation to be basic even though stayed in bugalow which was nice to be straight off the pool but very little kitchen facility for cooking, staff friendly and my main negative point would be pool was salt water and too cold, but a lovely quiet and relaxing place to be. Found at the time i went no entertainment and mainly spanish holiday makers. Hope this gives you some insight good for couples wanting relaxing holls
