- Grand Canaria is hot and dusty but with a nice breeze.Puerto Rico is very hilly but the taxis are reasonable and the resort v/pretty with beautiful views.Many nice restaurants and and the local buses v/cheap.Must go to Puerto Morgan by bus home by sea.
- Useful Tips:
- The cheap local buses and the nice walk back from the local beach round the headland. The views from from the top of the hills over the resort are v/good.The wine in the local supermarkets is cheap and can be enjoyed on your balcony.

- although there was a lot of steps, and we was at the top of the hill, the taxis were reasonable and the stepa at the end of the night didnt seem so bad as we were on holiday and didnt want to go back to our apartment because the nightlife in the town centre was althogh small was excellent and you were made to feel welcome, with it bein a smaller resort the waterpark was very local. The views are beautiful and so was the weather bacause its like a suntrap it feels hotter. I did notice being at the top of the hill there were alot of apartments with small pools, because i have children i havnt been but it will be the next place i book as soon as the funds are available.xxx
- Useful Tips:
- We were walking to a man made beach i can't remember the name but it was a long stretch to the actual beach and there was no shade i had nothing to cover up with and the sun did burn and i don't usually burn, always have a towel or a scarf with you to protect your legs.

- fantastic island, lovely resort,nice restaurants and great views
- Useful Tips:
- puerto rico is very hilly,so you need to have good mobility,but the walking to and from the beaches do build for a great apetite !

- The Altamar, Puerto Rico - What a fabulous holiday! After loosing our holiday to the closing of XL we paid quite a lot for a weeks holiday here but it was so worth it! In Puerto Rico, you always need to add 5 degrees onto the stated temperature because of the valleys...the weather was out of this world...28-32! We found an amazing beach just around the corner from the Puerto Rico beach which had white sands and clear seas, felt more like barbados! The view from out hotel was amazing, ground floor in the hotel with views directly onto the sea! Theres quite a lot of steps in Puerto Rico to your hotel but taxi's are dirt cheap and the walk can be nice in the heat! Its not a clubbing holiday as such, wicked late opening bars and a few clubs but i'd recommomend it more to couples...me and my partner are in our early 20's and this is the 3rd time we've been here in 4 years...i would seriously recommend it if your looking for a nice, hot break!
- Useful Tips:
- Prices: It has got quite expensive in Puert Rico in the last few years with the Euro etc but if you look around, you can find some great deals everywhere to help with keeping costs low! Bars: Avoid Harleys! The '2 for 1' offer ended up with us paying 20 euro for a WKD and a Pint...you apparantley pay for the 'staff' as they are classed as 'the hottest men around'.I didnt think so! The centre at the top is better to be honest with good deals and fun bars (Mary D's) where the bottom one is more expensive...Linekars bars good though! Food: Be careful! We tried lots of places and only found a nice few...breakfast go to Flicks at the top, beautiful English fry up and a good cuppa! Evening meals, if your looking for quality food, El Basaro...Out Of This World steaks! Cats: Try not to feed them like we did because you'll end up wanting to take them home with you! Go to Puerto Rico, stop in the Altamar, bottom floor - no regrets!!!

- PUERTO RICO IS A FANTASTIC RESORT, FAMILIES OR SINGLES ALIKE, THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. AMADORES BEACH IS GORGEOUS, THE SAND IS WHITE, SURROUNDED BY PLENTY OF BARS AND RESTERAUNT AND SPOTLESS AT ALL TIME. fOR A CHILLED OUT NIGHT THERE IS THE EUROPA CENTRE AND FOR A VERY LIVELY NIGHT, THERE IS PUERTO RICO CENTRE, WHICH HAS EVERYTHING FROM, SHOPS QUALITY RESTERANTS AND LIVELY BARS, WITH LOVELY RESTERAUNTS IN THE PICTURESQUE HARBOUR THERE IS NO NEED TO TRAVEL AFAR, EVERYTHING IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. EVEN THOUGH THE RESORT IS BUILT ON TWO MOUNTAINS THERE IS ALWAYS A TAXI CLOSE AND AT A COUPLE OF EUROS, WON'T BREAK THE BANK.sIMPLY A MUST TO TRY FOR YOUR NEXT HOLIDAY
