- The Blue Star appartments are in a great location for ease of access to the `Europa Centre` shops, bars and resraurants with ample car parking space for those who choose to hire a car. The rooms are clean and comfortable but very basic, but thats what you expect for a budget price. There are plenty of steps to negotiate and with only one lift to the top it can be a chore getting up and down. The restaurant & bar is under new management by Mo Aand his team who can`t do enough for you, and the nightly entertainment by big Terry and his comedy DJ show and music quiz with free drinks is second to none. Be aware of the long hike down to the beaches and into Puerto Rico centre, but both are a must. Take a taxi or better still hire a car from the airport (£100 ish a week)for the whole of your stay and save on fares and transfer costs! But do visit Mo`s even if not staying at The Blue Star if you enjoy a laugh! I`d have no problem staying again.

- very basic hotel but clean. not much space for storage and only just fitted 3 people. rooms had no air conditioning and became uncomfortable even in Oct/Nov. not suitable for the less mobile and steps to pool became hard work. receptionists were pleasant but did the minimum. however, good location by europa centre and pleasant pools and lovely views.

- not very at the time before it changed hands would,nt go back got a terrible ear infection from the pool , there were stray cats hanging around at night looking for food the sky lift was always breaking down, money was taken from my friends room (when reported nothing D0NE )looking at the video now it looks like things might have changed ( LETS HOPE ).

- very clean, quiet but not boring,the essential sanctuary feeling if you wanted it. friendly people with good manners
- Useful Tips:
- still good even, if you are unable to walk, or not able to walk for long distances,modes of transport are available. taxis are not that expensive and because they are registered i felt they were quite safe. if you do happen to get lost locals are very friendly and point you in the right direction. look out for scenic views, winding walks, the cave bar as you walk to the marina, the taxi boats to several destinations - the list is endless. at the europa centre you have a good variety of shops, supermarkets and a hairdresser as well as other amenities. the fronthouse welcome is very friendly at most eateries but can be a bit overwelming in some of the shopping areas.

- We have been to the Blue Star twice and we have never had any problems with the rooms and the staff are great - the rooms are basic, clean and ideal for people wanting the stay in Puerto Rico on a small budget
- Useful Tips:
- The Blue Star is in a great location at the top of the mountain near to the Europa Centre shops and bus stop not far from the apartments - the Blue Star when we contacted them to ask for a high floor room went out of their way to accommodate us due to me having walking problems - the staff are very helpful and friendly - I would recommend the the hotel no problem - also in the bar below reception live music and meals at very good prices this is new and the people who run this are english
