Key Largo is connected to the mainland in Miami-Dade County by two routes. The Overseas Highway, which is U.S. Route 1, crosses Jewfish Creek from the middle of the island to the extreme southeastern part of the mainland, while the Card Sound Bridge connects the northern part of the island across Biscayne Bay to the mainland. Both routes lead to Florida City, making for an interesting day out. A trip to Florida City or Miami is recommended, allowing one to do all the mall and boutique shopping that could be dreamed of.

With so many varied restaurants, Key Largo guarantees a lovely night out. With an array of eateries offering everything ranging from delicate sushi to mouth watering burgers, there's something to suit every appetite.
